Tim McGraw Plays on the Farm

September 5, 2009 was a beautiful and sunny day that turned into a cool clear night. With a full Harvest Moon overhead that shinned brightly at the Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion in Gilford New Hampshire, a sold out crowd gathered to hear Tim McGraw. Tim is an iconic country superstar who has been delighting crowds for 20 years with his tight family of musicians “The Dance Hall Doctors“. Most of the band have been with Tim for 12-15 years. The lead guitarist and bass player have been playing with Tim for 20 years. This combination is a good recipe for success. Tim went to Northern New England to entertain scores of fans, which included a first time mother who is 7 months pregnant with the words “Tim’s Newest Fan” written on her belly by her elated husband to an older crowd. No matter what age of the fans, everyone was ecstatic to see Tim perform.

With a blend of old and new, Tim had the crowd on their feet as soon as he walked out onto the stage. From the moment of his entrance, the sound of thunderous applause and screaming fans was overwhelming. All Tim could do was smile and sing. At times, you could see the emotional affect on Tim when the crowd sang his songs. He would stop and just listen to the crowd, pointing his microphone out to them to continue singing. If you watched his face, a smile of pure contentment would wash over him, knowing that he has touched so many people with his words. Tim spoke of his new album, “Southern Voices“, being his first album in three years. With this announcement, the crowd went wild! When Tim announced he would be playing some of his new songs, the applause was so loud he had to yell over them to say “I hope you like them! If you don’t, too bad they are already on the album!” The crowd laughed, and cheered even louder.

This was my first time seeing Tim McGraw in concert. It will most certainly not be my last by any means. If you’re not a country fan before you go to see Tim, you certainly will be Tim McGraw fan when you leave his show!. Tim is the ultimate performer and gentleman. No matter what he records, his fans will purchase the CD’s and go to his shows. Thanks Tim, for a wonderful time..

Lets not forget Tim’s opening act, Chris Young. Chris is a new and upcoming artist with a hit single called “Gettin’ You Home“. This track is rising up the charts. After being on the charts for three weeks, it rose up from #78 to #67 on Billboards Hot 100. His new album entitled “The Man I Want To Be“, is his second album. Chris opened the show to thunderous applause and screaming young females, all of whom was singing along from the very first note right up until the last. Prior to the start of his show, Chris took time out to meet with some of his fans backstage. Following his performance, he signed autographs and took pictures with fans. He left a long lasting impression on all his fans, together with a lot of new fans, that he is a favorite.

Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion is the most relaxed venue that I have ever been to! The atmosphere if full of fun, warmth and happiness. It’s kind of like hanging out in your backyard with family and friends, with the music blasting having great time. That is the feeling you get here. It’s no wonder why Meadowbrook is nominated for a Academy of Country Music award for “Venue of The Year“. I must say they deserve it hands down. For a small site, they do everything big. The sound is incredible. The personalities are huge and Meadowbrook’s heart is even bigger. My advice to all of you after you read this: If you live in New Hampshire or the surrounding states, take the time to travel to Gilford, New Hampshire and catch a show at Meadowbrook. You will be glad you did! You will certainly have fun…………..
