The full-service Nashville record label is led by an impressive group of seasoned music industry personnel who will bring their outstanding track record to implement HitShop’s cutting edge business model and innovative consumer awareness campaigns with its diverse roster of artists. HitShop Records releases will be distributed by Warner Music Nashville. “This is one of the most innovative and creative gatherings of musical talent and staff I’ve ever seen. The young, brilliant minds and compelling musicians involved are building a new model of discovery from the street up. HitShop is launching with a sonically diverse lineup of talented music makers including pop funk duo Gimm+Icky, whose music has been heard in national promo spots for ABC and E!, and Fort Payne, Alabama native Weston Burt, who cut his teeth playing over 150 dates a year while still in college at Auburn University. Weston hit the road this morning to start his country radio promotion tour but before climbing aboard his bus, he and label mates Gimm+Icky treated the gathered tastemakers to a preview performance of upcoming music. Bishop has enlisted an impressive team to initiate promotion and marketing strategies. Diane Monk-Harrison, whose promotion experience includes Arista Nashville, Columbia and MCA Records, will take the helm as VP Promotion for HitShop Records.
