Country Singer Mark Chesnutt Joins “Country Rat Pack” Fraternity for Select Shows
One of country music’s favorites, Mark Chesnutt, announces plans to hit the road this spring and summer as part of Tracy Lawrence’s “Country Rat Pack” tour; Chesnutt will perform with the tour for five shows from April 3rd to August 15th. The new bill featuring Mark, Tracy and Richie McDonald was released after former headliner Tracy Byrd revealed he would no longer be a part of the tour.
“Tracy Byrd is a very good friend of mine so when they called asking if I could fill in, there was absolutely no hesitation from me; I said yes,” Chesnutt states. “Being a “Rat Packer” gives me a chance to reunite with my old Roadhouse buddy Tracy Lawrence and I’ve always respected Richie McDonald. I just can’t wait.”
Considering the long-standing friendship of Lawrence and Chesnutt, audiences are sure to enjoy a unique musical experience and camaraderie from the two superstars. With more than 30 No. 1 singles to their name, the shows will be “don’t miss” opportunities for fans.
Carrying the torch in the footsteps of George Jones and Waylon Jennings, Chesnutt plays nearly 100 dates a year and has performed a number of benefits during his 20 year career. He has four platinum albums, five gold albums, 14 No. 1 singles and 23 Top 10 singles to his name; his trademarked voice has shaped the music of today’s country newcomers and the new country generation.
