Larry the Cable Guy Hits Homerun with TailGate Party

On Independence Day weekend, a comedian made the first ever appearance at Memorial Stadium, located in Lincoln, Nebraska. The comedian was non-other than “Larry, the Cable Guy”. Larry returned to his home state to record new material for his new album, “Tailgate Party” which is on sale today with a Comedy Central special to follow in February 2010. Larry recorded in front of 60,000 screaming fans who were ready for his newest one-liners and crazy ravings about anything he wanted. They sure let Larry know he was home by their welcoming responses!
He started his show with telling the audience he was surprised that 60,000 people came out to see him. He also made reference that since everyone was there at his show this gave Wal-Mart time to restock the shelves! He also looked for people from his hometown of Pawnee. He rolled right into the subject of having his prostrate checked…. and to his opinion that everything from China is poisoned! As Larry moved on through his new material, he picked up speed and got better as he went on. Larry seemed to settle into his new routine, becoming even funnier each time he opened his mouth. Larry is one of the rare comedians who can start slow and really deliver his puns and one liners with exact timing.
“Global Warming” was a little more personal, because Larry gets into talking about the media always br0adcasting negative things about America and her people, Larry lets it be known that there are “Good People” in America, and this is a “Great Country” and the fans went wild. Larry goes on to comment on Al Gore and how its our fault, at this point Larry starts to take off like the “Space Shuttle and does not slow down till the end of his show.
This is Larry the Cable Guy at his best, he is relentless, straight forward and brings the economy, global warming and more current events into his show and the crowd ate up every word. People that have never listened to Larry will be looking for more of his material to listen too because after listening to “TailGate Party” they will not be able to get enough. Larry has reached new heights and will continue to entertain crowds for years to come.
