Tour To Kick Off In Hidalgo, Texas

Nashville, TN—-George Strait’s 2009 Tour Schedule will take him during a different time of the year to many new places, as well as some places he hasn’t visited in a while. George Strait fans across the country should be excited about the King of Country Music’s 2009 touring plans.
Strait will begin the year in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas as he helps the citizens of Hidalgo, TX celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Dodge Arena. It will be Straits first visit to Hidalgo and his first foray in many years to the beautiful South Texas Valley.
George Strait will also play a number of outdoor amphitheatres in 2009 including performances at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte, NC, Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh, NC, Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH, Post-Gazette Pavilion in Pittsburgh, PA, P.N.C. Bank Center in Holmdel, NJ, Tweeter Center in Boston, MA, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Virginia Beach, VA, Nissan Pavilion in Washington, DC, USANA Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, UT, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Indianapolis, IN and the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL right outside of Chicago.
In addition to the previously mentioned dates, Strait will also cross the border to Canada to perform at the Calgary Stampede in Calgary, AB and the Craven Country Jamboree in Craven, SK. Strait will also perform at Country Fest 2009 in Cadott, WI and at 2009 Summerfest in Milwaukee..
In July Strait will return to the Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, WY for a special one night performance. There are also two other major dates that will not be announced until sometime after the first of the year. The announcements on the dates will be made on the George Strait website at www.georgestrait.com as soon as they are available.
